emissions. As Californians, we created Radback Energy, Inc. to be an
enabler in addressing this complex challenge by providing a bridge
between communities and the electric utilities. Our success is
dependent upon creating integrated and reliable solutions to the energy
needs of our communities. These integrated solutions address the
challenge of renewable resources: intermittent wind and intermittent sun.
California has a need for zero carbon, green
energy. Radback Energy supports renewable energy projects which are
responsibly integrated with clean, efficient, natural gas fired energy
projects. At Radback, we believe in building lasting partnerships
with communities and electric utilities. The ultimate result is an
environmentally responsible and reliable energy future for California.
While focusing on addressing California's immediate needs for clean and
efficient natural gas fired generation to backstop intermittent renewable
energy sources such as wind and solar, Radback Energy is expanding
directly into renewable technologies. Our business model stems from
our management team's realization of five marketplace drivers:
- Across California, documented growth in consumer
load is creating a need for new generation projects.
- The California Legislature has mandated a
requirement for "renewable" projects.
- Most renewable projects are intermittent in
nature due to the availability of the energy: the sun, the wind,
etc... These renewable projects need to be integrated with
other more reliable resources such as clean, efficient natural gas
electric generation in order to create a dependable, reliable
electric system.
- Utilities are issuing new RFO's (request for
offers) to address the energy needs of the communities which they
serve.
- Our customers desire options and flexibility with
regard to project delivery methods.
